Job Title: Home Care Assistant

This role involves delivering direct care and support to elderly residents in a residential aged care facility. The successful candidate will work as part of a team to provide personal care, mobility assistance, and other services that promote the health and wellbeing of our clients.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide nutrition and hydration support, including feeding if required
  • Help with transfers and mobility using wheelchairs and other aids
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment, including laundry and equipment cleaning
  • Document care observations and complete necessary paperwork
  • Support meal preparation and dining activities
  • Engage residents in leisure and lifestyle activities
  • Assist with medication administration under medical supervision
  • Collaborate with colleagues and healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care
Requirements:
  • Certificate III in Aged Care or related qualification
  • Proven experience in direct care, particularly with elderly individuals
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Problem-solving and adaptability skills
  • Discretion and confidentiality when dealing with client information
