As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for undertaking complex case management activities, resolving matters through case management of AAT applications, and managing complex AAT matters.
Key Responsibilities- Case Management: Undertake end-to-end case management activities, subject to appropriate line manager input and oversight.
- Matter Resolution: Resolve matters through case management of AAT applications related to reviewable decisions and access decisions.
- Complex Matter Management: Manage complex AAT matters, analysing and developing options for early resolution.
- Information Gathering: Obtain necessary information and advice to effectively resolve AAT matters.
- Dispute Resolution: Apply alternate dispute resolution methods and advocacy skills to resolve applications/reviews, in accordance with model litigant principles.
- Case Conferences and Hearings: Attend Case Conferences, Conciliations, and Hearings conducted by the AAT.
- Document Preparation: Prepare documents detailing resolution options and outcomes for Case Management meetings.
- Risk Assessment: Assess and respond to priorities and risks, including risks to participants, Scheme sustainability, and the organisation.
- Record Keeping: Prepare and maintain electronic records, including evidence supporting decision-making processes and justifying conclusions reached during the case management process.
- Case Management Experience: Demonstrated experience in case management, particularly in complex and sensitive cases.
- Legislative Knowledge: Strong understanding of the NDIS Act 2013 and related legislation.
- Leadership Skills: Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Initiative and Judgement: The ability to exercise initiative and judgement in interpreting information, legislation and policy.
- Strategic Planning: Experience in strategic planning, program and project management, and policy development.
- Electronic Record Keeping: Proficiency in electronic record-keeping and documentation.
- NDIS Knowledge: Demonstrate knowledge of the NDIS and support for people with disabilities.
