Job Title: Mechanical Fitter

Seeking a seasoned mechanical fitter to execute assignments in the Mining, Resources & Energy sector.

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in mechanical fitting and proficiency in collaborating with cross-functional teams while working independently. Responsibilities include flange management, heat exchanger maintenance services, interpreting mechanical drawings and P&IDs, handling hazardous materials, and supporting other disciplines on out-of-scope mechanical tasks.

  • Flange Management - Ensuring proper torque and tensioning techniques
  • Heat Exchanger Maintenance Services
  • Ability to Read and Understand Mechanical Drawings and P&IDs
  • Dealing with Hazardous Materials
  • Assisting Other Disciplines with Alternative Scope Outside of Mechanical Works

Key Requirements and Qualifications:

  • 1-2 Years Experience Working Within the Mining, Resources & Energy Sector
  • Ability to Work Shifts (Day/Night/Weekends)
  • Possess Formal Trade Qualifications as a Mechanical Fitter & Turner or an Equivalent Recognized Mechanical Trade Certificate
  • Flange Management Training (Desirable)
  • Working at Heights Certificate (Within 2 Years - Essential)
  • Confined Space Entry Certificate (Within 2 Years - Essential)
  • Gas Test Atmosphere (Within 2 Years - Essential)
  • Breathing Apparatus Certificate (Desirable)
  • Current Driver's License (Highly Desirable)
  • High Risk Work License (Advantageous)
  • White Card
  • Full Australian Work Rights
