About the Role

Mater Misericordiae Ltd's Coronary Care & Cardio Thoracic Unit is currently seeking a skilled Critical Care Nurse to join their team. This role offers flexibility with multiple positions available for nurses of varying levels of experience.

We are working alongside Mater Education to upskill our staff and transition them into speciality. Our employment options include Permanent Part Time, Casual or an initial Fixed-Term Contract – choose the one that suits you and your lifestyle.

The CCU/CTU is a 40-bed unit (8 dedicated Coronary Care beds), providing high-level care for acutely ill and chronic cardiovascular/cardiothoracic patients. We cater for elective and emergency admissions, offering a wide variety of cardiac services to the community.

Salary Information

The hourly salary range for this position is $41.47 - $53.30/hr plus superannuation.

Job Description

As a Critical Care Nurse, you will provide quality care to patients, taking particular consideration of their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. You will work collaboratively with our current team to plan and deliver clinical excellence.

You will have opportunities to be an active participant in quality and safety activities, utilizing your skills as a Registered Nurse.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
  • PREFERRED experience in critical care nursing
  • Critical Care Certificate or working towards – desirable but not essential
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and coordinate patient care and competency in clinical problem solving
  • Availability to work across all shifts
  • Demonstrated competency in written and verbal communications and the ability to maintain accurate clinical and assessment data
