Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Procurement Officer to join our team. As a key member of the procurement function, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring all activities related to procurements.

  • Plan and coordinate procurements in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and report progress on procurements to ensure timely issue of enquiries, tender evaluation, and award of purchase orders.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to secure optimum prices and deliveries for equipment meeting project technical, schedule, and commercial requirements.

You will have a proven track record of success in procurement, expediting, and/or logistics, preferably in engineering or construction industries. Demonstrated experience with computerized purchasing and logistics systems is essential. You will also possess solid knowledge of international and local tendering practices, high-level negotiating skills, and problem-solving abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Senior Procurement Officer, your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Planning and coordinating procurements in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
  2. Monitoring and reporting progress on procurements to ensure timely issue of enquiries, tender evaluation, and award of purchase orders.
  3. Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to secure optimum prices and deliveries for equipment meeting project technical, schedule, and commercial requirements.
  4. Conducting commercial analysis and evaluation of quotations to enable the correct supplier choice.
  5. Developing and maintaining an effective vendor data and goods tracking system both company-wide and project-specific.
  6. Implementing and monitoring the procurement schedule according to the overall delivery schedule.
  7. Reviewing all orders to ensure details align with the original tender request and client-approved ATC.
  8. Providing professional support to the Project team in preparing project deliverables.
Required Expertise:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 6+ years of experience in procurement, expediting, and/or logistics, preferably in engineering or construction industries.
  • Demonstrated experience with computerized purchasing and logistics systems.
  • Solid knowledge of international and local tendering practices.
  • High-level negotiating skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven ability to meet high standards within budgetary and schedule constraints.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to create a positive stakeholder management and customer support environment.
