About the Role:

We are seeking highly skilled Structural Revit Draftspersons to join our dynamic team at Australia Wide Engineering Recruitment. As a key member of our drafting team, you will be responsible for creating detailed, accurate drawings and models using Revit, ensuring all work aligns with our high standards and Integrated Management System (IMS) Procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Junior Draftspersons:
    • Produce detailed drawings and models using Revit based on provided information from engineers, clients, and other specialists
    • Ensure all drawings are error-free and meet the required Level of Detail (LOD), with a minimum standard of LOD 300 unless otherwise specified
    • Perform self-checks on completed work and assist with back-drafting when required
    • Maintain drafting workstation and ensure compliance with IMS procedures
    • Support Senior Draftspersons in coordinating with internal teams and external drafting resources
  • Senior Draftspersons:
    • Lead the drafting efforts on assigned projects, acting as the Lead Draftsperson and directing junior team members
    • Develop and produce drawings independently, ensuring adherence to company Drafting Standards and BIM processes
    • Perform clash detection on BIM projects and resolve discrepancies between consultant and structural drawings
    • Issue drawings through web-based document control systems and ensure all transmittal information complies with IMS procedures
    • Contribute to the development of drafting standards, investigate new drafting techniques, and provide training and mentorship to junior draftspersons
    • Liaise with Job Managers and attend coordination meetings to discuss project requirements and progress

Qualifications:

  • Junior Draftspersons:
    • Trade qualification or traineeship in Drafting (Structural) or equivalent experience
    • Familiarity with Revit software and a strong understanding of drafting principles
  • Senior Draftspersons:
    • Trade qualification or traineeship in Drafting (Structural) with a minimum of 10 years of experience post-qualification (desired)
    • Extensive training and experience using Revit software
    • Proven ability to lead projects and mentor junior team members
    • Strong communications skills
