At Drakes Supermarkets, we're looking for a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Dairy/Freezer Department Lead in our Emu Park store.

About the Role:

We're seeking an experienced retail professional who can lead and manage a small team, create rosters, generate orders, and complete stock takes. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining high standards of merchandise presentation, and driving sales growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and motivate a small team of retail professionals
  • Create rosters and schedules to ensure efficient store operations
  • Generate orders and maintain accurate inventory levels
  • Conduct regular stock takes and report any discrepancies
  • Implement visual merchandising strategies to drive sales growth
  • Provide exceptional customer service and resolve any customer complaints
  • Maintain high standards of store appearance and cleanliness

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a dairy or freezer department role, preferably in a retail environment
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and train team members
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on achieving sales targets
  • Basic math skills and accuracy when handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system
