Job Title: Clinical Network Scientist

SA Health is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Network Scientist to join our team in the Integrated Cardiovascular Clinical Network (iCCnet). As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in delivering personalized care to patients living in regional South Australia.

About the Role

The iCCnet delivers innovative healthcare solutions to improve cardiovascular health outcomes for patients in rural and remote areas. As a Clinical Network Scientist, you will be responsible for providing remote health monitoring services, supporting patients with chronic conditions, and facilitating self-management through virtual home monitoring.

You will work closely with our team to develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes, and contribute to the continuous quality improvement of our services. Your expertise in performing routine diagnostic tests, clinical knowledge in cardiology, diabetes, stroke, renal, or respiratory, and proficiency in computerized healthcare information systems will be essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide remote health monitoring services to patients with chronic conditions
  • Support patients with early diagnosis and management of chronic conditions
  • Facilitate self-management of chronic conditions through virtual home monitoring
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to improve patient outcomes
  • Participate in the after-hours on-call technical support roster
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Applied Science, or equivalent qualification
  • Broad experience in performing routine diagnostic tests
  • Clinical knowledge in cardiology, diabetes, stroke, renal, or respiratory
  • Proficiency in computerized healthcare information systems
  • Effective communication skills, including problem-solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation
