About the Role

Anton Murray Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst to join our team as part of a risk and compliance project team. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with experienced risk and compliance professionals to deliver remediation risk programs and activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • **Analyzing and Evaluating Operational Processes**: Conduct thorough analysis of existing operational processes to identify areas for improvement and deploy risk controls and mitigants.
  • **Engaging with Stakeholders**: Engage professionally and collaboratively with diverse groups of stakeholders, including executive teams, senior leadership teams, delivery teams, and other internal stakeholders, to understand business needs and advise on future state.
  • **Data Analysis and Reporting**: Gather and process data to identify process performance areas, conduct gap analysis, and present summary of findings.
  • **Process Improvement**: Conduct in-depth data analysis, process mapping, and workflow documentation to identify opportunities for standardization and optimization.
  • **Workflow Design and Implementation**: Design workflow and process strategies to improve business performance, create and present process reports for approval, and oversee the implementation of revised company processes and workflows.
  • **Monitoring and Evaluation**: Monitor the efficiency of updated workflows and partner with change managers and training managers to assist with the development and delivery of change as a result of the above analysis.
Requirements
  • **Experience**: 5-7 or more years of experience in risk management within Australia's financial services/APRA-regulated entities, including business partnering roles.
  • **Qualifications**: Tertiary qualification in business, law, finance, risk, or related field.
  • **Skills**: Proven experience in process improvement, strong experience working on regulatory compliance-driven environments and projects, and excellent commercial acumen and strategic thinking skills.
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • **Data Analytics**: Experience with data analytics tools, such as Tableau or PowerBI.
  • **Industry Knowledge**: Exposure to first-line/second-line/operational roles in asset servicing, fund administration, capital markets, or cash payments operations.
  • **Regulatory Knowledge**: Good knowledge of the latest industry trends and regulatory changes.
