Reporting directly to the Digital Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for identifying opportunities and developing strategies to optimize portfolio performance and drive growth within the SME segment, while collaborating with the underwriting team to maintain excellence in underwriting and operations.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Determining Zurich's market position in the SME segment, analyzing competitor propositions and pricing strategies.
  • Focusing on customer-centric solutions, utilizing relevant metrics to define propositions and develop targeted marketing strategies.
  • Developing and implementing underwriting strategies to maximize growth opportunities in profitable segments and mitigate underperforming segments.
  • Collaborating with the Platforms team to design and implement business rules that drive efficiency and automation within the SME segment.
  • Working closely with line of business heads to enhance SME products and propositions.
  • Designing and delivering training programs to elevate technical underwriting expertise and capabilities across the SME underwriting teams.
  • Managing the review and update of underwriting guidelines to ensure compliance and effectiveness.

    Succeeding Together

    To excel in this role, you will require:

    • In-depth understanding of financial drivers influencing portfolio performance.
    • Strong technical experience in commercial underwriting, with a proven track record of delivering underwriting results.
    • Portfolio or product management experience, with a focus on driving growth and optimization.
    • Familiarity with relevant LOB wordings and rating tools.
    • Ability to analyze data to inform strategic decisions and test assumptions.

    Competitive Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum
