Our focus is on supporting individuals to live their lives to the fullest by enabling them to make choices and participate in activities that bring them joy.
The RoleWe are seeking Disability Support Workers to join our team on a casual basis in Lucas, Victoria. As a support worker, you will provide one-on-one support to individuals in their homes and within the community, empowering them to lead everyday lives of their choice.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualised support plans based on each person's needs, preferences, and interests.
- Assist with daily living tasks such as personal care, hygiene, and household duties.
- Help individuals access their preferred activities, including social events, work, and appointments.
- Promote personal choice and control for the individuals we support.
- Administer medication as required.
- Experience working with complex behaviours and individuals with psychosocial and neurological disabilities.
- A passion for enabling and supporting people with disabilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn new skills and undertake ongoing training.
- Current certifications and clearances, including NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check.
