Field Services Officer Role Summary:

This position plays a vital role in maintaining the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing's housing portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Determine maintenance requirements for department-owned property assets and ensure they are delivered according to frameworks, policies and processes.
  • Support vacant property inspections in accordance with unit maintenance procedures and inspect community housing properties when required by the Housing Call Centre in consultation with community agencies.
  • Assess and provide expert advice on disability modification requests and major building rectification or asset protection activities as needed.
  • Participate in asset build, purchase, swap and disposal activities by providing expert advice and recommendations on proposals, conducting inspections with stakeholders and documenting outcomes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ability to accurately assess and determine maintenance requirements for department-owned property assets.
  • Knowledge of department frameworks, policies and processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
