About the Role:

This Lead Developer - Cloud Infrastructure position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of our machine learning product. You will design and implement a sophisticated cloud-based data solution capable of handling large, complex, and non-standard geological data.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Architect, design, and implement a cloud infrastructure tailored to manage large, complex, and non-standard geological data, ensuring seamless integration with our machine learning products.
  2. Continuously evaluate and optimize the cloud infrastructure to meet performance, scalability, and resilience requirements.
  3. Design and enforce security best practices within the cloud infrastructure, including data encryption, access controls, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  4. Set up monitoring and alerting systems to ensure the health, availability, and reliability of the cloud infrastructure.
  5. Stay updated on the latest advancements in cloud technologies and lead the integration of new tools and technologies to improve the platform's capabilities.
  6. Document code, processes, and results for future reference and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in SRE, DevOps, or software engineering.
  2. 6+ years of experience with various AWS services and tools, including storage services, compute and container services, ML services, and analytics services.
  3. 6+ years of experience using infrastructure-as-code tools to build and manage cloud infrastructure.
  4. 6+ years of experience in software development in at least one high-level programming language, such as Python, Go, Java.
  5. Deep understanding of CNCF cloud infrastructure landscape layers from provisioning, orchestration to observability and platform.
