About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Hospital Scientist who is highly motivated to become part of a passionate, vibrant, and engaged team responsible for:
- Performing manual and automated diagnostic testing
- Executing routine procedures from specimen reception to result execution for pathological diagnosis
- Maintaining equipment and adhering to protocols
- Participating in Quality Assurance activities and contributing to continuous improvement
- Liaising with stakeholders regarding test results and referrals
- Complying with policies, procedures, and workplace health and safety protocols
About You
To be considered for this position, you will need to meet the essential requirements:
- Bachelor of Science or equivalent in Medical Laboratory Science
- Demonstrated experience and expertise in Haematology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, and Transfusion Medicine
- Sound knowledge of QC, QAP, and troubleshooting
- Ability to identify and implement quality and service improvement activities
- Perform duties with a high degree of independence and infrequent supervision
