About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Hospital Scientist who is highly motivated to become part of a passionate, vibrant, and engaged team responsible for:

  • Performing manual and automated diagnostic testing
  • Executing routine procedures from specimen reception to result execution for pathological diagnosis
  • Maintaining equipment and adhering to protocols
  • Participating in Quality Assurance activities and contributing to continuous improvement
  • Liaising with stakeholders regarding test results and referrals
  • Complying with policies, procedures, and workplace health and safety protocols

About You

To be considered for this position, you will need to meet the essential requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science or equivalent in Medical Laboratory Science
  • Demonstrated experience and expertise in Haematology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, and Transfusion Medicine
  • Sound knowledge of QC, QAP, and troubleshooting
  • Ability to identify and implement quality and service improvement activities
  • Perform duties with a high degree of independence and infrequent supervision
