Boilermaker Wanted

We are seeking a skilled Boilermaker to join our team in Melbourne, Australia. As a Boilermaker, you will be responsible for constructing, assembling and maintaining overhead cranes.

About the Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and experienced Boilermaker to work with us. You will be working independently and as part of a team, ensuring that all crane maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and understand blueprints for location, position, and dimensions
  • Complete job work orders and other necessary documentation
  • Organize and arrange pre-made parts before assembly
  • Identify necessary tools required for tasks
  • Use scrapers, cleaning solvents, and wire brushes to clean vats
  • Inspect and perform tests to find defects

Requirements:

  • Mechanical Skills: Proficient in using and maintaining various equipment such as welding machines and hoists
  • Unafraid of Heights: Ability to handle working at heights, such as water storage tanks
  • Physical Strength and Stamina: Capable of lifting heavy equipment
  • Troubleshooting: Skilled in diagnosing and fixing problems
  • Critical Thinking: Able to weigh solutions and predict most effective ones
  • Reading Comprehension: Strong understanding of written documentation
  • Experience and Certifications: Certified Boilermaker with at least 5 years of experience
  • Driving License: Valid driver's license
