Lead Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Technician to join our team. As a key member of our automotive repair team, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and repairing complex issues with vehicles. Your technical expertise, leadership skills, and ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues will make you an invaluable asset to our team.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in automotive repair, particularly in areas such as brakes, electrical systems, and suspension. A strong understanding of engine repair, transmission, and drivetrain systems is also essential. In addition, the successful candidate will possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.

  • Diagnose and repair complex vehicle issues, including brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension, and alignment systems.
  • Communicate technical information effectively to non-technical individuals, including customers and colleagues.
  • Stay current with rapidly changing automotive technology through continuous paid formal training.
  • Assist and train technicians/mechanics in performing technical activities.
  • Maintain A.S.E. certifications in at least five of A1-A8 within two years of employment.

Minimum Qualifications:

A valid automobile driver's license at all times and the ability to drive customer and company vehicles. Skilled in brakes diagnosis/repair, alignment, steering & suspension diagnosis/repair, general automotive maintenance & tire repair. Current federal, state, and local certification/licensing where applicable. Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people. Reading, writing, and math skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

A strong understanding of electrical/electronic systems, engine repair, engine performance, automatic transmission/transaxle, manual drivetrain/transmission, and automotive heating/AC. Five years of automotive repair experience, demonstrated skills via third-party assessments/certifications, or completion of a Vocational-Technical School Program. A.S.E. certification in at least three of A1-A8 (L1 can be one of the three – Brakes and Steering & Suspension A.S.E.s preferred).
