Senior Clinical Psychologist or Mental Health Professional
A critical role in the Geriatric Evaluation and Management units, providing specialized psychological assessments and interventions for patients with complex medical, functional, and psychosocial needs.
About the Role:- Deliver a specialist Clinical/Health Psychology service including assessment, treatment planning, intervention, positive behaviour support planning, evaluation, and consultation to patients and their carers individually and in group settings.
- Participate in interdisciplinary clinical and planning activities to enhance the overall service provided to clients.
- Develop systems for monitoring, reviewing, and improving the standards of services to clients.
- Full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA), with an Area of Endorsement in Clinical Psychology or Health Psychology.
- Hold approved supervisor status with the PsyBA at all levels of supervision, or: Eligible to complete PsyBA-accredited supervision training and willing to undertake this training at the direction of the organization to support the services' supervision requirements.
- Experience providing psychological treatments.
- A high level of ability to design, implement, and evaluate psychological procedures and interventions, including psychological assessments, and consultancy services, in relation to complex clients.
- Ability to apply specialist skills in resolving clinical problems.
- Demonstrated abilities in communication, liaison, and teamwork.
