Role Description

The primary function of a Myotherapist is to provide holistic, integrated care to clients, enhancing their mobility and movement to promote independence and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough assessments of symptoms and medical history, making accurate diagnoses and developing personalized care plans for individuals.
  • Skilled manipulation of muscles and other soft tissue to relieve pain and improve function.
  • Education and training of clients on all aspects of therapy, empowering them to take control of their healthcare.
  • Development of goal-setting activities and guidance on stretching, strengthening, and improving posture to enhance overall health and wellbeing.
  • Referral of clients to specialist services such as Physiotherapy or Exercise Physiology when required, ensuring comprehensive care.
  • Effective liaison with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless coordination and monitoring of care plans.
  • Accurate documentation and reporting of client progress, facilitating ongoing assessment and improvement of care delivery.
