The YMCA Queensland's childcare services have been a cornerstone in Australian communities for decades, focusing on helping children develop physically, mentally and emotionally.
Our Program
We offer engaging and stimulating care for primary and secondary school children before and after school hours. They participate in various activities like cooking, sports, music, art, dance and more.
Your Work Environment
The OSHC service is situated at Boondall State Primary School, licensed for 150 children. We operate from 6:00am to 9:00am and 2:30pm to 6:00pm, Monday to Friday. Vacation Care operates from 6:00am to 6:00pm.
We provide a nurturing environment through nature and adventure play, including barefoot play, arts and crafts and outdoor adventures. We work closely with the school to ensure our program aligns with their values and behavior systems. We utilize fantastic resources, such as basketball & netball courts, swimming pool, large oval and computer laboratory.
About the Role
OSHC Educators provide care and support for children during school hours, assisting in running fun-filled and educational activities with primary school children, such as science experiments, outdoor games, painting and musical activities.
