This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an experienced systems engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic and innovative program, working on high-impact national security projects.

About the Role

We are seeking an individual with excellent technical skills and experience in systems engineering. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in requirements analysis, architecture development, and lifecycle planning. They should also be familiar with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools and techniques.

The role will involve participating in a three-month immersive program, working on real-world national security projects. The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience with advanced systems engineering tools and frameworks, as well as structured mentorship from senior engineers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in a three-month immersive program addressing real engineering challenges for Australian government partners in defence, intelligence, and national resilience sectors.
  • Work on priority national security projects, contributing to systems engineering efforts in architecture design, mission assurance, digital engineering, and technology integration.
  • Apply MBSE and related approaches to design and evaluate systems supporting Australia's defence, intelligence, and whole-of-government security initiatives.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Early to mid-career experience, including recent graduates with strong academic foundations or those with several years of relevant professional experience.
  • Working knowledge of systems engineering concepts such as requirements analysis, architecture development, lifecycle planning, and system validation.
  • Familiarity with MBSE tools and techniques, including SysML, Cameo/MagicDraw, or similar platforms.
