The Role
We are seeking an experienced Mining Equipment Sales and Account Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for identifying aftermarket parts and service sales opportunities for a key customer. Your primary focus will be on developing, maintaining, and growing allocated customer account relationships through effective account management processes.
You will work closely with customers to understand their strategic requirements and provide value offerings from Sandvik. Your goal will be to represent the customer at a higher level, with a greater focus on medium to long-term goals for both our customer and Sandvik.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify aftermarket issues and opportunities and act as liaison with customer until resolution.
- Develop sales opportunities for all aftermarket products across Sandvik product lines.
- Perform gap analysis on existing fleet to identify sales opportunities.
- Achieve agreed targets.
- E nsure accounts follow terms and conditions of sale.
- Support and assist in following up outstanding debtors.
- Liaise between customer and Sandvik on aftermarket issues to ensure timely resolution.
- Predictive parts forecasting by analysing customer maintenance strategy and planning to ensure parts availability meets customer demand and expectation.
Your Profile
To succeed in this role, you will need to be agile, work/task-oriented, and willing to accept challenges. You must be a motivated self-starter with the ability to build relationships and gain trust from various internal and external stakeholders. A mechanical trade qualification or mechanical aptitude is essential, as is the confidence to work underground and the capacity to travel up to 40% nationally.
