Coal Sampling and Testing Role

SgS Australia is seeking a skilled Coal Sampling and Testing professional to join their team in Gladstone, QLD.

About the Company:

SGS is the world's leading testing, inspection, and certification company. Our Energy Minerals Division provides high-quality coal analysis and services to major coal companies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct physical coal testing and analysis of routine samples with accuracy and precision.
  • Ensure sample traceability, receipting, recording, sorting, and storage as required.
  • Assist with preventative maintenance of preparation and laboratory equipment.
  • Plan shift workflow and coordinate pick-ups and analysis.
  • Maintain a safe working environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Coal sampling, preparation, and testing experience is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Previous experience in a general mineral laboratory environment preferred.
  • Good computer skills, including Excel proficiency.
  • Ability to work under pressure and be a team player.

Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this role is $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience. SGS offers a range of benefits, including flexible work arrangements, paid parental leave, and corporate health and wellbeing programs.
