Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Financial Insights Specialist to join our team. In this newly created role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial data for the business. You will predominantly focus on Retained Terms reporting, which involves understanding, documenting, and managing accounting processes at the general ledger level.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring Retained Terms (rebate earnings) from suppliers
  • Analysing the efficiency of supplier-funded promotions, including sales impact and completeness of rebate claims
  • Improving operational efficiency in warehouse, distribution, and company-owned retail stores
  • Tracking actual performance against the plan
  • Timely and accurate processing of financial reports, adhering to deadlines
  • Assisting the Leadership Team with the timely resolution of queries from internal and external stakeholders

The Successful Applicant

  • A minimum of three years' experience in a Commercial Analyst/Accountant role within a retail or FMCG business
  • A degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance
  • CPA designation (or similar international qualification) is highly regarded
  • Knowledge of ERP systems - expertise in Microsoft Navision and Business Central being advantageous
  • Experience with system implementations is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytic and organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in all matters
  • A proactive attitude and the ability to show initiative

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of AU$80,000 - AU$120,000 per annum, depending on experience, along with additional benefits such as:
