The role of a legal professional involves assisting lawyers in the preparation and organisation of legal documents, including pleadings, contracts, and briefs. This includes taking ownership of conveyancing cases from start to finish, as well as supporting wills, power of attorney, and business law. Additionally, the position requires maintaining and organising legal files, ensuring that documents are up-to-date and easily accessible.

The ideal candidate for this role will have at least 5-8+ years of experience as a legal secretary or paralegal, with proficiency in legal software, Microsoft Office Suite, and document management systems. Strong organisational and multitasking skills are essential, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of PEXA settlement platform is also required.

As part of the team, you will be responsible for handling administrative tasks such as answering phones, handling correspondence, and managing billing and invoicing. You will also communicate with clients, other law firms, and court personnel in a professional and courteous manner. The ability to work independently and as part of a cohesive team is crucial.
