Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver evidence-based nutritional assessment and management of patients in an acute hospital setting.
  • Apply sound clinical reasoning and evidence-based practice to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Contribute to the multidisciplinary care of patients, working collaboratively with healthcare teams.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities and service improvement projects to enhance patient care.
  • Supervise undergraduate students, providing guidance and mentorship.
  • Effectively communicate with patients, families/caregivers, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.

Essential Criteria:

  • Bachelor in Nutrition and Dietetics (or equivalent) as recognized by the Dietitians Association of Australia.
  • Eligible for full membership and APD status with the Dietitians Association of Australia.
  • Minimum 2 years' acute hospital experience, with well-consolidated acute clinical nutrition skills.
  • Exceptional time management and communication skills, with the ability to work autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proven excellence in customer service delivery, with a commitment to ongoing education and evidence-based practice.
  • Authority to work in Australia.
