Disability Support Worker Opportunity

Empowering Independence, Supporting the Community

This role focuses on supporting individuals with disabilities to achieve their personal goals and participate fully in their communities. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, reliable, and community-minded.

The successful candidate will provide high-quality support services, promoting independence, choice, inclusion, and well-being. They will work collaboratively with clients, families, carers, and healthcare professionals to achieve individual service plans.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Personal Care: Providing assistance with daily living tasks such as showering, dressing, grooming, and toileting
  • Manual Handling: Assisting with mobility and physical support needs
  • Community Access: Facilitating participation in social, recreational, and community activities
  • Domestic Support: Providing light cleaning, meal preparation, and general home care
  • Behavioural Support: Assisting clients with complex behaviours and implementing strategies where required
  • Client Support Plans: Providing care in line with individual service plans and communicating progress effectively
  • Documentation: Maintaining accurate and timely client records and reports
  • Collaboration: Working alongside clients, families, carers, and healthcare professionals to support client goals

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • Australian Federal Police Check
  • Current First Aid & CPR Certification
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • NDIS Orientation Training Module
  • Valid Australian Driver's Licence
  • Own reliable, insured vehicle (with comprehensive insurance)
  • Full working rights in Australia
  • Smartphone with internet access
