Job Description:

As a Staff Platform Engineer, you will play a crucial role in expanding and enhancing our offerings for merchant and retail customers. Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing new system designs and solutions using Ab Initio Technologies, as well as continuous improvements.

  • Develop and implement new system designs and solutions using Ab Initio Technologies.
  • Apply design principles, development, testing, deployment, support, and evaluation.
  • Develop and deploy high-quality software solutions with comprehensive test coverage without supervision.
  • Design and build programs or application features meeting business objectives and requirements.
  • Provide mentoring and technical assistance to other team members.
  • Apply and promote industry best patterns and practices.
  • Contribute to strategic engineering goals within your team and platform.

Tech Skills:

  • Experience in design, architecture, or development in Analytics and Data Warehousing.
  • Solid experience in Abi-initio, ETL pipeline building with Spark or Scala.
  • Programming framework knowledge with UNIX Shell Script, Oracle SQL/PL-SQL.
  • Experience in Big data platforms for ETL development with AWS cloud platforms.
  • Knowledge of Oracle SQL database programming, SQL performance tuning, and relational model analysis.
  • Experience with ETL AB-Initio tools like GDE, BRS, Express-IT, Control Centre.
  • Experience with Teradata data warehouses and Cloudera Hadoop.
  • Solid understanding across Enterprise Analytics/BI/DW/ETL technologies such as Teradata Control Framework, Tableau, OBIEE, SAS, Apache Spark, Hive.
  • Analytics & BI Architecture appreciation and broad experience across all technology disciplines.
  • Experience in working within a Data Delivery Life Cycle framework & Agile Methodology.
  • Exposure to building end-to-end solutions with the Big data platform, Spark or Scala programming.
  • Good to have – Integration knowledge of MQ's, API's, Kafka.
