Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Pathology Collector to join our team in Bendigo. As a Pathology Collector, you will be responsible for collecting blood and other specimens from patients, performing ECGs and Holter monitoring, and processing pathology specimens.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect blood and other samples from patients in a safe and efficient manner
  • Perform ECGs and Holter monitoring as required
  • Process pathology specimens in accordance with laboratory procedures
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve high-quality results
  • Communicate effectively with patients, referring doctors, and laboratory staff
  • Maintain accurate records and reports
  • Comply with all relevant health and safety regulations
  • Participate in the weekend roster and other shifts as required
Requirements
  • Current Working With Children Check clearance
  • Valid Australian driver's licence and access to a car
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn laboratory software
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
