This is a critical leadership position at Coles, reporting directly to the Store Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our fresh produce department.

We're seeking an experienced leader who can contribute to maintaining exceptional store standards and providing an outstanding shopping experience for our customers.

  • Skills and Qualifications:
  • A strong background in retail management, preferably with experience in leading high-performing teams
  • An ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet business targets
  • Demonstrated expertise in stock management, rotation routines, waste control, and quality assurance
  • A proven track record of building and maintaining positive relationships with team members, customers, and suppliers
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the fresh produce department to ensure it operates efficiently and effectively, meeting sales targets and cost controls
  • Lead, coach, and develop the team to achieve their full potential
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of sales strategies and initiatives to drive business growth
  • Maintain excellent department standards, including monitoring stock levels, rotation routines, waste control, and quality assurance
  • Deliver an outstanding shopping experience for our customers by ensuring high-quality products, excellent customer service, and a well-presented store environment
