We are seeking a dedicated and results-driven Coordinator Civil Maintenance & Fleet to lead our civil maintenance and fleet teams and oversee the delivery of Council's construction and maintenance programs, reactive maintenance activities, and fleet operations.

\

In this key role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans to enhance the city's infrastructure and services, overseeing the management and maintenance of the City's civil infrastructure, roads, drainage, footpaths, and fleet, and ensuring compliance with procurement, asset management, and regulatory requirements.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement project plans to improve the city's infrastructure and services.\
  • Manage operational and capital works projects to enhance the city's presentation and infrastructure.\
  • Ensure all operations comply with Work Health and Safety (WHS) legislation and City policies.\
  • Prepare and present reports on business unit operations.\
  • Review and update the Fleet Management Plan to ensure optimal operations and asset longevity.\
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.\
  • Required Skills and Qualifications:\

  2. Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience in civil construction and maintenance.\
  3. Experience in managing teams and delivering infrastructure maintenance programs.\
  4. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and motivate teams.\
  5. Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement abilities.\
  6. A commitment to customer service, safety, and operational excellence.\
  7. Ability to build effective relationships with teams, stakeholders, and the community.\
  8. Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.\
  9. Familiarity with asset management software for scheduling repairs and maintenance.\
  10. Continuous improvement mindset to enhance operations.\
  11. Strong budget management and resource allocation capabilities.\
  12. Proficient in MS Office Suite and able to learn new systems quickly.\
  13. Current driver's license and willingness to travel within the region.\
  14. Capacity to work effectively in a team environment and maintain positive working relationships.\
  15. Proven track record of meeting deadlines and achieving goals.\
  16. Familiarity with local government operations and procedures.\
  17. Capacity to develop long-term infrastructure renewal plans.\
