Executive Culinary Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Culinary Specialist to join our dynamic kitchen team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating high-quality dishes, contributing to menu development, and managing kitchen operations. You will also mentor junior staff, ensuring food safety standards and efficient kitchen performance in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in a la carte cooking, knowledge of food safety requirements, and excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask. They will also be service-oriented with an eye for detail, flexible, and able to embrace and respond effectively to change.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare high-quality dishes across various kitchen sections, including a la carte, buffet, larder, mise-en-place, room service, and banquets.
  • Ensure food safety, cleanliness, and organisation in the kitchen.
  • Contribute to the development of new menu items to enhance the guest dining experience.
  • Mentor and supervise junior staff, offering guidance and training.
  • Apply diverse cooking styles and techniques to deliver exceptional dishes.
  • Foster strong communication and coordination within the kitchen brigade.

Qualifications:
  • Trade qualifications and previous experience in the hotel industry preferred.
  • Extensive experience in a la carte.
