Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and safety-focused individual to join our team as an MPU Trainee - Explosives Delivery Specialist. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of explosives to our mining sites.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the operation of Mobile Processing Units (MPUs) for the delivery and loading of bulk explosives.
Gain knowledge of how to operate the MPU safely and effectively, adhering to all safety regulations and operational standards.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and operational standards, including the handling of hazardous materials.
Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Support senior operators in the preparation and execution of blasting activities, maintaining accurate records of operations and materials used.
Study a certificate III in surface extraction to enhance your skills and knowledge in the field.
Requirements
Basic mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn and develop your skills.
Driver's license (HR license preferred) and ability to obtain an NSW UHL license.
Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and maintain a high level of physical fitness.
Previous experience in the mining or construction industry is an advantage, but not essential.
Right to work documents and ability to pass a 043 Coal board medical and drug test.
Supply two workplace references.

Selection Criteria
Applicants must be local to the area and within 50kms of the mine site to be considered for this role.
