Your Role

As a Cloud Infrastructure Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  1. Implementing cloud, container, and virtual platforms while maintaining and enhancing infrastructure as code capabilities.
  2. Supporting and continuously improving cloud infrastructure and application hosting solutions.
  3. Guiding application teams to adopt best practices for application development in accordance with AWS operational excellence.
  4. Improving application deployments and ensuring monitoring and observability standards.
  5. Collaborating on cost optimization, scaling, resiliency, disaster recovery strategies, and tiered storage.
  6. Assisting with software application releases and maintenance according to business needs.
  7. Developing and refining cloud engineering processes for seamless release progressions.
  8. Managing build pipelines, runners, and securing flows to production.
  9. Maintaining internal tooling.

Key Technical Skills:

  • Hands-on AWS cloud experience and automation & orchestration.
  • Adopting and consuming AWS cloud services from various perspectives.
  • Add value to production and development systems.
  • Resolve issues and provide expertise for enhancements and improvements.
  • Build technical requirements analysis and review.
  • Ensure compliance standards across all cloud and SaaS spaces.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Automate and improve current processes.
  • Enhance code quality and standards.

Enablement:

  • Support multiple teams in achieving delivery expectations.
  • Contribute to project estimations.

Your Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in information technology or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in Cloud Platform Engineer/DevOps Engineer roles.
  • Hands-on AWS experience and knowledge of AWS services.
  • Container technology experience and Agile tools proficiency.
  • Development experience and CI/CD toolset understanding.
  • AWS Certified Architect Associate or AWS Certified DevOps Professional.
  • Excellent communication skills.
