Job Description

We are seeking an experienced leader to join our directorate as Director, Major Project Assessments.

This is a key role in shaping the future of our state's environment and community.

The successful candidate will lead the assessment of significant projects in Western Australia and partner with the Executive Director EPA Services and lead teams of skilled professionals in delivering environmental Impact assessments (EIA).

They will also provide high-level strategic advice and expert analysis on environmental protection and government policy, develop and implement innovative solutions to facilitate assessment of complex proposals with significant environmental impacts, and collaborate with stakeholders at the executive level to achieve environmental protection outcomes.

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires proven experience in leading significant change in complex environments, strong track record of building cross-government and cross-sector commitment to shape policy and drive reform, deep expertise in environmental science, sustainability, and regulatory frameworks, exceptional leadership and stakeholder engagement skills, and history of motivating high-performing teams and delivering results in dynamic contexts.

  • Lead the assessment of significant projects in Western Australia.
