Job Overview

A reputable government organisation is seeking a seasoned Cyber Security Solutions Architect to lead the technical direction of their security capability. Based in Sydney CBD, this role will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver cutting-edge cyber defence solutions.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in information security risk management and cyber security technologies, with a proven track record in implementing security architectures, tools, and practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop security architecture for key projects, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices.
  • Develop high-level designs and impact assessments for initiatives and systems, identifying optimal security solutions.
  • Assess new technologies, vendors, and cloud services against established security standards.
  • Define security requirements for applications and IT implementations, ensuring robust security design.
  • Collaborate with analysts to define business requirements and develop high-level designs, working closely with subject matter experts to ensure successful project delivery.
Requirements
  • Deep knowledge of information security risk management and cyber security technologies.
  • Experience as a Cyber Security Architect working on application migration projects.
  • Strong experience in implementing security architectures, tools, and practices, with a working knowledge of OT and IT environments.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of ISO27001, ISO31000, IEC 62443, ASD Essential 8, and NIST Framework.
  • IT skills, including knowledge of computer networks, protocols, operating systems, software, hardware, and security across enterprise networks and OT environments.
  • Experience in undertaking major security projects, including the design and implementation of security technologies.
