Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Phlebotomist to join our hospital team. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will be responsible for collecting blood and other samples from patients in various wards.

With excellent communication skills and a patient-centred approach, you will work closely with doctors, nurses and other hospital staff to provide high-quality patient care and support.

You will be expected to maintain accurate records and follow established procedures to ensure the efficient collection and processing of samples.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaising with hospital staff to understand patient needs and requirements
  • Collecting blood and non-blood samples across various wards
  • Maintaining accurate records and following established procedures
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have a strong background in phlebotomy, ideally with a Certificate III in Pathology Collection or a nursing qualification.

You will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with colleagues and patients alike.

A demonstrated ability to work efficiently and accurately, with a high level of attention to detail, is essential for this role.

Additionally, you must be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Desirable Skills and Qualifications:

  • Certificate III in Pathology Collection or equivalent qualification
  • Phlebotomy experience, preferably in a hospital setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure
