Career Opportunity in Sustainable Engineering

Melbourne is undertaking a major transportation infrastructure project, the Metro Tunnel Project. This ambitious endeavor involves constructing tunnels and stations to untangle the City Loop by taking three of Melbourne's busiest train lines through a new tunnel under the city.

The Metro Tunnel Project will create a new end-to-end train line from Sunbury to Cranbourne/Pakenham, with twin nine-kilometre tunnels and five new underground stations at Arden, Parkville, Anzac, and two new CBD stations - State Library and Town Hall - which will directly connect to the City Loop.

We are seeking expressions of interest for a Cadet in our Sustainability Team. The ideal candidate will be an undergraduate who is up for a challenge, eager to learn, and has an ability to build relationships. They should also be keen to transform lives of our people, communities, and customers.

Our Cadet Program provides students with a paid working experience to gain knowledge of the operations of a large-scale organisation. On-the-job training will allow Cadets to gain expertise in team and department operations while boosting their skills and experience.

**Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science (Environmental Engineering Systems)
  • Bachelor of Civil Engineering
  • Bachelor of Sustainable Systems Engineering
  • Bachelor of Environmental Engineering

**Program Details:

  • Two mandatory Full-time Placements during the June/July and Dec-Feb holidays from university
  • Two Part-time Placements during Uni Semester 1 and 2, up to 3 days a week (As required and study commitments allow)
