Supervisor Position in Youth Residential Care

The Casual Night Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the nightly operations of Residential Care homes and providing leadership and supervision to care workers. This role is vital in ensuring overnight safety plans are met and in responding promptly to staff queries, incidents, and concerns.

This supervisor position will serve as a key contact for regional incidents and will work closely with various stakeholders to prioritize the best interests of young people.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage Residential Care Homes: Oversee the nightly operations of Residential Care homes and ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
  • Leadership and Supervision: Provide leadership and supervision to Residential Care Workers and respond promptly to staff queries, incidents, and concerns.
  • Safety Plans: Ensure overnight safety plans are met and developed in collaboration with care workers.
  • Communication: Demonstrate strong communication skills, active listening, and a commitment to maintaining professional boundaries.
  • Requirements:
  • Team Player: Be a team player capable of effective collaboration with various stakeholders.
  • Communication Skills: Possess strong communication skills, active listening, and a commitment to maintaining professional boundaries.
  • Certification: Hold a minimum Cert IV in Child, Youth & Family Intervention or an equivalent qualification.
  • Transportation: Hold a driver's license (minimum green P's) for transporting young people.
