Brisbane, Queensland, Australia Technical Network Recruitment Full time

An experienced Employee Relations Expert is sought by Technical Network Recruitment to join a leading law firm on a 9-month contract.

This remote position requires minimal office presence, with occasional travel to Head Office once every three months.

The Role

In this key role, you will be responsible for managing a high volume of Employee Relations cases (up to 40 at any one time), including complex issues that can lead to disciplinary outcomes, including dismissal.

You will work with a wide range of stakeholders across the firm, providing expert advice and support on all aspects of Employee Relations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and advise on a high caseload of complex Employee Relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, performance, and absence cases.
  • Ensure consistent, fair, and legally compliant outcomes.
  • Partner with HR colleagues and business leaders to guide them through sensitive and challenging Employee Relations issues.
  • Provide clear, accurate, and timely documentation and reports as required.
  • Maintain excellent working relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
About You
  • ER Specialist: This is not a generalist role—you must have focused exclusively on Employee Relations in your recent experience.
  • Experience: Minimum 2–3 years handling a high volume of Employee Relations cases, including complex and sensitive issues.
  • Stakeholder Management: Comfortable working with multiple stakeholders in a professional, and sometimes high-pressure, legal environment.
  • Strong understanding of current UK employment law and best practice.
  • Confident, solutions-focused, and able to operate with autonomy in a remote setting.
