Salary and BenefitsThe estimated annual salary for this role is $60,000 - $80,000 AUD, depending on experience. Job DescriptionThis is an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Technician to join our team at the Lilyfield Sydney Light Rail Depot. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing rolling stock and its associated equipment. This includes regularly performing wheel changes for light rail vehicles, carrying out routine examinations, fault finding, interrogation, and diagnostic testing on tram equipment installed on Sydney Light Rail Vehicles (LRV) sub-systems, actively maintaining and repairing tram equipment installed on LRVs, following all established safety procedures, and reporting on activities, problems found, and measures taken.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Certificate III Engineering (Mechanical Trade) or equivalent qualification;
- Demonstrated maintenance experience with the ability to fault find, diagnose, and repair;
- Ability to participate in a rotating shift roster (4 weeks of Mon - Fri 6am - 2pm, then 4 weeks of Sun - Thurs 2pm - 10pm);
- Experience within Rail/Rolling Stock or similar industry preferred but not essential;
- A team-player with a can-do attitude.
