Strategic Planning and Performance Reporting Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Governance team as a Manager, Planning and Performance Reporting. This is an exciting opportunity to lead strategic planning and reporting across the entity, ensuring adherence to governance frameworks and compliance with the Public Governance Performance and Accountability Act 2013 (PGPA Act).
In this role, you will have the opportunity to project manage the entity through the development and progress of the entity's strategic business planning, ensuring delivery of the Corporate Plan, quarterly performance reporting, and Annual Performance Statements for inclusion in the Annual Report. You will also supervise staff in ad hoc pieces of work or small projects, ensuring alignment with the entity's organisational transformation program of work.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate and coordinate delivery of Geoscience Australia's Corporate Plan, quarterly performance reporting, and Annual Performance Statements.
- Interpret and apply policies and legislation in relation to the PGPA Act and related Commonwealth Performance Framework.
- Develop and manage relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, and supervise staff in relation to effective corporate governance.
- Be an effective team member, and a crucial part of the Governance leadership team.
- Proven experience in project management, coordination activities, and/or leading the planning and reporting in a Commonwealth Government entity, including the development of Corporate Plans or Annual Reports.
- Advanced knowledge of legislative frameworks and an understanding of the requirements of the PGPA Act and relevant Resource Management Guides (RMGs).
- The ability to build and maintain productive stakeholder relationships, including frequent liaison with internal business areas to provide advice and support to identify relevant content required for government planning and reporting.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a large workload, to meet deadlines and achieve results.
- Effective leadership, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and experience with supervising staff.
- The ability to contribute to the overall work of the section by working flexibly, including performing duties associated with other EL1 positions as required.
