Gas Industry Quality Assurance Specialist

The Quality Assurance Inspector plays a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity of gas distribution networks, encompassing over 750,000 connection points and spanning 14,000km of pipelines.
This critical position involves conducting inspections and investigations on various installations, including industrial, commercial, civil, and domestic sites, to guarantee compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections to assess the competency of contractors and internal workforce, ensuring that installations meet established requirements and commercial agreements.
- Inspect capital works on gas distribution systems, verifying adherence to technical and operational standards and regulations.
- Provide expert technical guidance to contractors and internal workforce on design, construction fault finding, and problem-solving issues related to gas distribution capital works.
- Foster relationships with contractors, consultants, and government agencies to achieve optimal and safe outcomes.
Requirements:
- Certificate III in Gas Operations or ATCO Common Trench qualification (highly desirable).
- G Class Gas-fitting Licence (desirable).
- Significant technical knowledge of gas industry regulations, combined with extensive experience in industrial, commercial, and civil construction.
- Well-developed communication skills (oral and written), with the ability to influence and build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated organizational skills to efficiently manage tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and streamline processes in a fast-paced environment.
