Job Opportunity: Classroom Teacher

The Department of Education is seeking a skilled and dedicated Classroom Teacher to join our team.

As a Classroom Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and implementing a range of teaching programs or courses of study, monitoring and evaluating student progress in key learning areas, and maintaining records of class attendance and recording student progress.

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum, including the capacity to incorporate the teaching of literacy and numeracy skills;
  • Capacity to respond to student learning needs;
  • Capacity to implement high impact teaching strategies, guided by how students learn, and evaluate the impact of learning and teaching programs on student learning growth;
  • Capacity to monitor and assess student learning;
  • Capacity to use data to inform teaching practice and provide feedback on student learning growth and achievement to students and parents.
  • A strong commitment to student wellbeing and safety;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
