About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Design Specialist to join our team at Energy Queensland. As a key member of our Remote & Embedded Generation Design Team, you will play a critical role in providing engineering advice and designs to stakeholders across the organization and customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electrical systems for remote and embedded generation projects, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and legislation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and customers to deliver high-quality designs, reports, and documentation.
  • Develop and maintain technical knowledge of electrical engineering principles, standards, and best practices.
  • Contribute to the standardization of power station designs across the state, incorporating emerging technologies and energy storage systems.
  • Provide expert advice and support to colleagues and customers on electrical design and engineering matters.
Requirements
  • Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant equivalent qualification.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of standards and legislation surrounding electrical engineering.
  • Experience with design software, including AutoCAD, Vault, and MS Office.
  • High level of written and oral communication skills, with effective stakeholder management ability.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
