As a highly valued Branch Lending Specialist at Great Southern Bank, you will play a key role in serving the local community and providing support to customers with their retail banking and lending needs. Your primary objective will be to help every Australian own their own home, which aligns with our bank's purpose.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain a strong business network to promote Great Southern Bank's products and services.
  • Work closely with your Branch Manager to develop and implement strategic networking and business development activities.
  • Manage and own home loans through to completion, grow your pipeline, and identify opportunities to increase our target market share.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in mortgage lending or credit assessment.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with all banking products.
  • Proven ability to network with key stakeholders and pursue leads to obtain business through network activities.
  • Self-motivated, driven, and results-oriented with a proven ability to apply cross-selling techniques for products and services.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong customer and sales focus.
  • Ability to problem-solve complex financial problems.
  • Strong ability to work autonomously while maintaining strong connections with your team.
  • Demonstrated exceptional stakeholder management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of the Financial Services Code and Acts.
  • ASIC Tier 2 requirement or ability to rapidly acquire.
  • Cert IV in Mortgage Brokering (desirable).
