Occupational Health Professional

A highly skilled and experienced Occupational Health Professional is required to join our team at InfraBuild in Laverton Steel Mill. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support the business needs through work activities and projects related to health, wellbeing and emergency response, contributing to the continuous improvement of the site and workers.
About the RoleYou will be reporting directly to the Health, Safety and Environmental Manager, working closely with the occupational hygienist to develop and implement health and well-being programs, emergency response management on site, providing first aid attention and assisting with health monitoring and training of employees and contractors.
Duties and Responsibilities- Develop and execute a tailored Health and Wellbeing Program (HWP) to improve the mental and physical health of employees.
- Demonstrate a commitment to completing the annual and bi-annual health monitoring program.
- Assist in completing the Health Surveillance and monitoring schedule where appropriate.
- Maintain the Occupational Health Centre, ensuring equipment is calibrated and sufficient stock of first aid and pharmacy supplies.
- Provide basic care to individuals who have sustained injuries at work or are feeling unwell, evaluating the need for further medical intervention.
- Coordinate the First Aid Training Program and develop the First Aid Revision Program.
- Contribute to the development and coordination of strategies for the business health and wellbeing program.
- Maintain all health and well-being, health monitoring, emergency response and other related documentation.
- Ensure related Cority records and events are timely recorded as required.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A relevant bachelor's degree in health, safety, or a current Registered Nurse Cert IV - in Training & Assessment.
- Workplace Screening Audiometry Tester Certificate, Level 3 First aid qualification & Confined Spaces Level 2.
- Demonstrated experience providing occupational health services for industry/manufacturing clients.
- Proven history of conducting occupational health screenings including audiometry, vital sign checks, drug and alcohol testing.
- Ability to provide professional advice/training on occupational health issues.
