Procurement Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Officer to join our Perth-based team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing procurement and expediting activities, maintaining procedures, and providing information reporting for allocated projects.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, coordinate, and monitor the progress of procurement activities, ensuring timely issue of enquiries, tender evaluation, and award of purchase orders.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to secure optimal prices and deliveries for equipment, meeting project technical, schedule, and commercial requirements.
- Conduct commercial analysis and evaluation of quotations to select the correct supplier.
- Lead high-level negotiations with business partners and suppliers, establishing collaborative stakeholder and strategic supplier relationships.
- Develop and maintain an effective vendor data and goods tracking system, both company-wide and project-specific.
- Implement and monitor the procurement schedule in accordance with the overall delivery schedule.
- Review all orders to ensure details align with the original tender request and client-approved ATC.
- Liaise with the Project team to prepare project deliverables and contribute to the Procurement team's professional development through mentoring and identifying areas for growth.
- 10+ years of experience in procurement, expediting, and/or logistics, preferably in the engineering or construction industries.
- Demonstrated experience with computerized purchasing and logistics systems, and their operation and applications.
- Sound knowledge of international and local tendering practices.
- High-level negotiating and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to achieve consistently high standards within budgetary and schedule constraints.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and own tasks.
- Ability to create a positive stakeholder management and customer support environment.
