Senior Culinary Professional

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and passionate culinary professional to join our dynamic kitchen team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will work closely with our Head Chef to create innovative and high-quality dishes that delight our guests.

  • Ensure the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and safety in all culinary operations.
  • Develop and implement new menu items and recipes that showcase our coastal fusion style.
  • Collaborate with the front-of-house team to deliver exceptional customer service and seamless meal delivery.
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff and apprentices, sharing knowledge on cooking techniques and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed, and implementing cost-effective solutions to minimize waste.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in a similar role.
  • AQF Certificate III (with at least two years of on-the-job training) or AQF Certificate IV.
  • Personal Attributes:
    • Passionate about food, flavour, and creating memorable dining experiences.
    • Ability to work calmly and efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
    • Meticulous attention to detail in both cooking and presentation.
