We are seeking an experienced Cloud Native Engineer to join our team in Newcastle, Australia. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled professional to take on a challenging role with a leading organisation.
Job DescriptionThis position involves managing and automating cloud-first technology environments across Azure, AWS, and Microsoft 365. You will be responsible for deploying, securing, and maintaining reliable platforms for the business, as well as acting as the main escalation point for the Technology Service Desk.

- Deploy, secure, and maintain reliable platforms for the business
- Act as the main escalation point for the Technology Service Desk, solving complex issues and training juniors
- Collaborate with a dynamic team of DevOps, SysOps, and SecOps professionals to achieve organisational goals and improve infrastructure performance
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Strong sysops experience (3-5+ years) with a deep understanding of cloud environments (Azure and AWS) and Microsoft technologies
- Hands-on skills with Intune, Entra ID, PowerShell, and scripting for automation
- Experience in structured, regulated environments (e.g., government, public sector) with a quality-driven approach
- Self-starter with the ability to adapt quickly and tackle complex challenges without needing direction
The estimated salary for this role is around $120,000 per annum, depending on experience. The company offers a range of benefits, including a 12-month contract, immediate start, and a supportive work environment.
