About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Scientist, Serology to contribute to our team in Melbourne. As a key member of our Surveillance and Vaccine Development group, you will play a critical role in delivering animal studies for serological analysis to support Seqirus' SARS-CoV2 and influenza vaccine platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake animal studies to support surveillance programs, SARS-CoV2 preclinical studies, and other group studies as required.
  • Support the generation of SARS-CoV2 and influenza serology data to inform surveillance programs.
  • Contribute to the development of serology data to support SARS-CoV2 pre-clinical data packages.
  • Provide scientific and technical guidance for Surveillance and Vaccine Development group activities.
Requirements
  • Degree and experience in a relevant discipline, with a post-graduate degree preferred.
  • 3+ years' experience in a relevant field or industry.
  • Conceptual and practical expertise in immunology, molecular biology, bioinformatics, cell culture, analytical assay development, or process development.
  • Experience in virology and immunoassays is highly desirable.
  • Experience working with small animal models is essential.
  • Understanding of the timing requirements for delivering seasonal and pandemic influenza, and SARS-CoV2 vaccines.
